Publication Ethics

SUQ : Journal of Islamic Economics and Business (SJIEB)

SUQ : Journal of Islamic Economics and Business (SJIEB) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and preventing publication malpractice. All parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers, are expected to adhere to ethical principles and academic integrity.

Duties of Authors

  1. Authors must present original and accurate research.
  2. Authors must ensure that the manuscript has not been published or submitted to another journal simultaneously.
  3. Proper acknowledgment of sources and references must be provided.
  4. Plagiarism, data fabrication, and falsification are strictly prohibited.
  5. Authors must disclose any conflict of interest related to the manuscript.
  6. Authors are responsible for revising the manuscript according to reviewers’ and editors’ comments.

Duties of Editors

  1. Editors are responsible for deciding which manuscripts should be published based on academic merit.
  2. Editors must evaluate manuscripts fairly without discrimination.
  3. Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
  4. Editors must avoid conflicts of interest in the publication process.

Duties of Reviewers

  1. Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions through objective evaluations.
  2. Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts under review.
  3. Reviewers should identify relevant published works that have not been cited by the authors.
  4. Reviewers must provide constructive comments and avoid personal criticism.
  5. Reviewers must decline the review process if there is a conflict of interest.

Publication Malpractice

Any unethical behavior, including plagiarism, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, and data falsification, will not be tolerated. The journal reserves the right to reject or retract articles that violate publication ethics.
