Peer Review Process

SUQ : Journal of Islamic Economics and Business (SJIEB)

Every manuscript submitted to SUQ :  Journal of Islamic Economics and Business (SJIEB) undergoes a review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and relevance to the journal’s focus and scope.

The review process consists of the following stages:

  1. Initial Screening
    The editor examines the manuscript for compliance with the journal template, focus and scope, and plagiarism screening.
  2. Double-Blind Peer Review
    Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two reviewers through a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed.
  3. Reviewer Evaluation
    Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:
    • Originality and contribution of the study
    • Clarity of research objectives and methodology
    • Accuracy of analysis and discussion
    • Relevance of references
    • Compliance with academic writing and publication ethics
  4. Editorial Decision
    Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor makes one of the following decisions:
    • Accepted without revision
    • Accepted with minor revisions
    • Accepted with major revisions
    • Rejected
  5. Revision Process
    Authors are required to revise the manuscript according to the reviewers’ and editors’ comments within the specified timeframe.
  6. Publication
    Accepted manuscripts will proceed to the editing, layout, and publication stages according to the journal publication schedule
